All IHA Members Agree to Abide by These Terms & Conditions
IHA Members attest to the truth and validity of any and all information they provide via their member profile, or to IHA staff or management. The IHA verifies member certification and contact information. They may provide other information in their Member Bio that is not IHA Verified, and is the sole responsibility of the Member.
All IHA Members and IHA Approved Course providers agree to abide by the IHA Code of Ethics and Conduct.
By using this website, the user agrees to abide by the return policy on this site and acknowledges the privacy policy and all other information on this page.

No information found on this web site is legal advice. Anything, anywhere on the website is for promotional or informational purposes only, and anyone seeking legal information or advice regarding the practice of hypnosis or NLP in their region should seek out a legal professional.
Ability To Practice
The International Hypnosis Association is not a government body and, like other independent hypnosis organizations, can not guarantee the legal right to practice hypnosis, or NLP in any specific region. Members must check with local government agencies or legal professionals to determine the requirements for practicing hypnosis and running a business in their area.
Refunds & Returns
No Refunds, No Returns
Once certificates have been sent, there are no refunds or "returns". Certificates are provided electronically, and cannot be returned. Submitting payment for an IHA membership by credit card or Paypal constitutes an agreement by the member to accept their certificate via email, and accept IHA email records as proof that the certificate was sent via email on the date specified in the email header.
**If you have not received your certificate please check your spam folder. If it is not in your spam folder, feel free to contact us, and we will be happy to send you a copy via email.**
Anyone providing misleading or false information in their application process will have their membership revoked with no refund.
All IHA members have agreed to abide by the IHA Code of Ethics. Violation of the IHA Code of Ethics can result in a member's immediate expulsion from the IHA, with no refund.
Privacy Policy
Your e-mail address is never rented, traded or sold… period.
We may use IP information to see where people are, in general, and may relate that to the individual email addresses.
When applying for membership with the International Hypnosis Association, we ask for contact information such as (but not limited to) name and email address.
When someone becomes a member the initially agree to receive occasional member updates and marketing information. Any newsletter or promotional materials will include clear instructions for “opting out” and all such requests will be honored.
Forms: We request information from the user on our certification order forms. Here a user may be required to provide contact information (such as name and address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer’s orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with the user. We use a credit card processing companies to bill users for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.
We may, from time to time, offer informational articles and tips as well as products or services to help people in the field. Clear instructions for removal from any future offers will be provided and all removal requests will be honored.
Policy Regarding Chargebacks
Chargebacks: Fraud is a big problem for Internet merchants. Many times fraud takes the form of a chargeback. A chargeback is when a credit card holder contests a charge that appears on their credit card statement. A chargeback is not a refund.
Should you initiate chargeback proceedings after we’ve sent a certificate, we may do the following…
1) Suspend membership to the International Hypnosis Association, for ethics violations.
2) Change a listing on our site to “Suspended for ethics violations”, until we receive the funds due us.
3) We may report your name, address and credit card number as having been used in a fraudulent transaction to our local law enforcement agency as well as law enforcement agencies in the area to which the certificate(s) were sent.
Our actions with regard to chargebacks may result in your not being able to use your credit card, a lower credit score, being unable to purchase items from other Internet or brick and mortar merchants, and criminal charges.
If you have had your credit card (or credit card numbers) stolen and they have been used without your permission, these actions will help protect you. If you have simply decided you don’t want to pay for something you’ve ordered, you will create a tremendous amount of trouble for yourself by starting chargeback proceedings.
Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s hard drive containing information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. We use cookies for aggregate purposes – not for the collection of personal data.
We use Log Files and IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses may be linked to personally identifiable information.

Security
This website takes every precaution to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, the information is protected both online and off-line. Currently, all payments are being handled by an outside credit card processing companies. A link providing detailed security information is provided on each order/registration form. We will only use third party credit card processors who use SSL – the best encryption software in the industry. You will know you’re on an SSL protected page when the lock icon on Web browsers becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open.
While our credit card processor uses SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users’ information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure office, with no public access.
